At Poteet Junior High, our CTE (Career & Technical Education) program gives students a hands-on introduction to real-world skills, helping them explore career paths and build confidence for the future. Whether they’re interested in agriculture, mechanics, cosmetology, or college and career readiness, our courses are designed to spark curiosity and build a strong foundation.
College & Career Readiness

This course helps 7th graders begin thinking about their future! Students explore different career options, learn how to set goals, and develop essential skills like time management, communication, and financial literacy. It’s a great first step toward building a successful future.
Principles of Agriculture

Students will get a broad introduction to the world of agriculture. From animal science to plant systems, this course gives hands-on experience in one of Texas’s biggest industries. Great for students who love science, animals, or working outdoors.
