UIL Academic Teams
Poteet Junior High UIL Academic Teams
Poteet Junior High is proud to participate in the University Interscholastic League (UIL) Academic Competitions. These events offer students meaningful opportunities to showcase their talents, challenge their intellect, and develop as scholars and leaders.
Through UIL, students engage in a wide range of academic contests from mathematics and science to writing, spelling, and public speaking. Participation helps students strengthen critical thinking, communication, and collaboration skills while building confidence in a supportive, competitive environment.
UIL is more than a competition—it's a platform for personal growth and academic excellence.
Get Involved!
This year, we’re making it even easier for students to get started! Each teacher sponsor will be listed with the event(s) they lead and their room number, so students can connect with them directly. My name and room number will also be included for any student who has questions or needs help finding the right event.
We’ll have a dedicated UIL table at Meet the Teacher Night with all the details you need to get involved.
Teacher sponsors will set the time and place for practices. Each year includes at least one district-level meet, with the date and location announced after our kickoff meeting in August or September.
We can’t wait to see our Aggies shine through UIL!
